Imagine, you have 2 hours and 15 minutes more per day: Somebody gives you this time and you can use it the way you want.

What would you do?

Would you spend this time with your loved ones, invest it in your hobbies or would you even work longer?
No matter, how your answer looks like, you can gift yourself these 2 hours and 15 minutes.

By spending less time on refocusing on your tasks. And by spending less time on overcoming a distraction or disruption. Researchers have found that a normal person in an office loses up to 28 percent of his whole time due to stop focusing on his task, doing something different and start focusing on his task again. 28 percent! You work for 8 hours a day of which 28 percent are 8*0.28=2.24 hours. That means you waste almost 2.24 hours or 2 hours 15 minutes per day(!) just for getting your focus back because you have switched tasks.

Don’t waste your time for task-switching

After I convinced you to spend less time refocusing, I want you to imagine something else:
Imagine, you can achieve better results with less effort. Although this sounds like magic, it isn’t. Instead, it is a clever way to prioritize things. Imagine, you do things after each other, always focused on the current task. Your mental bandwidth is always used by only one task.

No multitasking. Pure focus.

You don’t have to juggle multiple things at a time, trying to avoid a collision between them. You can work on one thing until you finished it and start working on the next one. That is what focus is all about.
Stop switching tasks. Stop multitasking. Instead do tasks the simplest way possible: Finish one, before starting the next. Prioritize what you want to focus on and do this until you have achieved the result you want. With a proper focus, you are able to manage the one task you choose in the best way possible.

Focus, a key to success

Speaking about the best way possible. Don’t you want to become successful in the field you choose? I bet you want.
Focus, is what you need to achieve that. With filtering out everything unnecessary, you will be able to see what important is remaining. No whistles and bells. Just your plain priorities. With the help of these priorities you can set up your goals. And finally, these goals represent the steps towards the fulfillment of your dreams.

After you know what focus is about and why you need it to become successful, I will give you tips on how to improve your focus.
